Does the "Net Generation" Learn Differently?

According to a new Innovative article, the "Net Generation" would benefit from specially designed learning platforms and curriculum:

"As the Net Generation places increasingly greater demands on educators, students and teachers must jointly consider innovative ways of teaching and learning. In this, educators are supported by the fact that the Net Generation wants to learn. However, these same educators should not fail to realize that this generation learns differently from previous generations."

According to the article, students in the upcoming generation learn by using multimedia, multitasking, interacting through social networking, and by having autonomy.
