Florida Virtual School Receives $314,000 Grant

Even big corporations like AT&T are beginning to see the potential of online learning. The AT&T Foundation recently awarded a $314,000 grant to Florida Virtual school, an online school with K-12 programs.

Here's what TMCnet has to say about the education award:

"The grant, provided by the AT&T Foundation, the corporate philanthropy organization of AT&T Inc. , will help FLVS support the development of new and expanded online learning opportunities…

With the support of AT&T, FLVS will research best practices, methodologies and strategies that are being used by virtual learning educators to support students who are actively participating in online learning programs. In addition, the research project will also help identify support needs for continued growth of the online learning marketplace."

Way to go Florida Virtual School!
