Managing Information Overload as an Online Student
I turned on my computer this morning intending to write a quick blog post. An hour later I found myself with over fifteen Firefox tabs open...showing sites on everything from local comedy shows to buying bed linens.

I admit it - I'm a "victim" of information Overloadlinks. The ability to access information with only a few clicks sometimes distracts me from what's really important and keeps me from meeting goals.

Information overload can be a huge problem for online learners. A quick email check can easily turn into an hour long surfing session. Fortunately, there are ways to control your online schedule. A new article from Web Worker Daily discusses some suggestions for ways to regain control. Here's a blurb:
"What follows are a number of tips, to be used together or separately, depending on your needs, that will help you become the Master of your information, and stop the onslaught of information overload, so that you can reconnect with what's truly important in your life."

"Excellent post. I totally agree that it is the content and presentation skills of the educator that will make or break an online learning event, not the technology."
