You can only rank online universities by actually studying what they offer, talking with people who have taken courses, and ordering information from the schools to see if they provide what you need.

The advantage with online universities is that you can work from anywhere, many times at your own pace. But I've said this before. You get the picture.

If you saw my Crash Test Smarties story at TechCentralStation below, you'll see that this field is wide open to innovation and there is funding out there for those who do innovate. When I interviewed Dr. Abdel-Malek he took me to the ' screening room' which is basically a large movie screen where they show simulations of how virtual soldiers or virtual crash test dummies work. He took one of those funky looking darth vader gloves and showed me a simulation of a museum exhibit of King Tut's Tomb. You can't go into King Tut's Tomb and actually try on his golden death mask, due to curses and security guards, but you can virtually try on that death mask through this type of technology. Dr. Abdel-Malek moved the mask around and actually (virtually) put it on my head so I was looking out of the eyes of long-dead Tut. Sadly there were no scantily clad Egyptian priestesses there, but I'm sure that's something which could be added.


There are quite a few different applications for this type of technology, including military which I highlight in the article, and commercial all the way to virtual art exhibits, possible virtual fashion shows, and endless possibilities for the more perverted (pornographer) or anarchist (hacker) minds, but we won't go into those (at least not right now) ...
