Organize Your Studies with a Personal Wiki
Jul 14th, 2007
It can be tough to keep your online studies organized. There are web addresses to bookmark, passwords to remember, and assignments to keep track of. An all-in-one solution to organizing your work is to use a personal wiki. A new article from Web Worker Daily explains the value of these mini wikis:
"A few of the things that are emerging about web workers is that 1) we do just about everything online; 2) we want to be able to access it from any computer, anywhere; and 3) it's hard to organize all the stuff we use and do, in our work and personal lives. But online organization doesn't have to be complicated. There are many tools for organizing all our stuff, of course, but one of the simplest is the wiki."
A personal wiki can be private (saved on your computer, not the internet). You can access it via your web browser. Instantly add links, passwords, assignments, and other information. Personally, I use Wiki on a Stick. The wiki is set as my homepage and it's an easy way to keep track of my online to-do list. Like many personal wiki programs, it's free to use. Happy studying.
