Reader Poll Suggests Online Degrees Gaining Respect
May 8th, 2007
An unscientific reader poll from ChristiaNet shows that online degrees are gaining respect. Here are the results:
102 participants believed that an online degree from an accredited institution is respected.
39 participants did not agree that distance learning degrees are respected.
159 participants were unsure.
Although the greatest number of participants were "unsure," this ambiguity is not necessarily a bad sign for online learners. As traditional universities continue to create their own e-learning programs, widespread acceptance is likely to follow from those who haven't yet made up their minds.
