Self Test: Is Distance Learning Right for You?
Filed in archive Helpful Tools by Jamie Littlefield on October 17, 2007

Distance learning isn't right for everyone. It takes a certain type of personality to work at a computer, without anyone to supervise or step in when things aren't going well. That's why one Pennsylvania community college suggests that students take a distance learning self evaluation before enrolling in online courses.
Find out if you're a good candidate by taking the quick ten question exam. If you don't make the cut, consider developing some of these positive self-learning characteristics suggested by the Community College of Alleghenty County:
Self-motivation and working well independently.Happy virtual studies!
Never putting things off (not a procrastinator) but rather staying on target.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to work well alone.
Good communication when questions or confusion arise.
Good organizational ability.
